Good Tuesday afternoon, everyone.

Today is turning out to be another hot day with a sunny sky and breezy southwest winds of 15 to 25 mph.  Temperatures will respond, heating up into a range of upper 80’s to mid-90’s.  Amarillo should top out near 94.  Tomorrow, Thursday, and Friday should ease back into the 80’s while Saturday and Sunday (Mother’s Day), could hover in the much cooler 60’s and low 70’s.

Regarding precipitation, a chance of showers and thunderstorms will be possible from tonight – lasting through Mother’s Day Weekend.  As of this writing, any storm that forms could pulse strong to severe with pockets of hail, sudden high winds, and heavy rainfall.  Please stay weather aware if a thunderstorm is near your location.  Seek shelter until it passes by!  Lightning is always a concern!
