UTRGV SCHOOL OF MED GRADUATING FIRST CLASS 05.08.20

The charter class of the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley School of Medicine is scheduled to graduate on Saturday, May 10, 2020, via an online ceremony due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The school of medicine has been instrumental in helping to test patients in South Texas by opening drive-thru mobile testing facilities at its campuses in Edinburg and Cameron County, Texas State Sen. Juan 'Chuy' Hinojosa, D-McAllen, told Border Report on Friday, May 8, 2020. Hinojosa authored SB 24, which in 2013 created UTRGV by an act of the Texas Legislature.
