The 49ers announced Friday that the team has agreed to multiyear contract extensions with general manager John Lynch and coach Kyle Shanahan.
Shanahan and Lynch joined San Francisco in 2017 and have enjoyed stability and success ever since. Under the tandem’s guidance, the 49ers have posted a 55-46 regular-season record, including 45 wins since 2019, with two NFC West division titles.
They also boast a 6-3 playoff record since ’19, reaching three NFC championship games with one Super Bowl appearance.
