West Texas A&M’s Ryan Quaid continues to collect the hardware as the senior was named a First Team All-American by the Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) in a press release released by organization on Tuesday afternoon.

Quaid earns All-American honors for the second time this season as the Fort Collins, Colo. native was named a NABC All-American earlier on Tuesday. The 6-foot-6 guard was named the D2CCA South Central Region and Lone Star Conference Player of the Year after leading the Buffs to consecutive regional titles. He leads the team with 15.9 points and 7.7 rebounds per contest while scoring in double figures in 20 games this season including 11 contests with at least 20 points.

The four-year starter is the program’s all-time leader in games played (139), wins (114), rebounds (998) and ranks second in scoring (1,688). He enters Wednesday’s Elite Eight two points shy of becoming the first player in program history with 1,600 points, 1,000 rebounds and 100 blocks.

No. 3 West Texas A&M take on No. 7-seed Southern Indiana in the NCAA Division Elite Eight on Wednesday, March 27, at 6 p.m. at the Ford Center in Evansville, Ind. The game will be broadcast on NCAA.com.
