CANYON, Texas – The Lady Buffs of West Texas A&M continued their offensive struggles on Saturday afternoon as they dropped their second straight Lone Star Conference match, falling to the visiting Javelinas of Texas A&M-Kingsville in four sets (21-25, 24-26, 25-21, 16-25) in front of almost 300 fans at the WTAMU Fieldhouse “The Box” in Canyon. The Lady Buffs fall to 7-10 (1-6 LSC) on the season while the Javelinas improve to 13-8 (4-4 LSC).

The Lady Buffs were led by Haley with 15 kills on 45 swings with four attack errors to hit .244 in the match to go along with 14 digs for the double-double while Curl registered 10 kills, Jackson guided the WT offense with 32 assists while Haley and Britten led the team with 14 digs each. The Lady Buffs hit just .122 as a team with 47 kills on 164 swings with 27 attack errors to go along with 44 assists, four service aces, 65 digs and 10 total blocks on the afternoon.

Texas A&M-Kingsville was led offensively by Moehrig with a match high 18 kills on 49 swings with eight attack errors to hit .204 on the afternoon followed by Bukowski with 16 kills, Klobedans led all players with 41 assists to go along with 10 digs for the double-double while Zaccardo led all players with 30 digs on the afternoon. The Javelinas hit .189 as a team with 57 kills on 164 swings with 26 attack errors to go along with 52 assists, six service aces, 80 digs and nine total blocks.

NEXT TIME OUT
The Lady Buffs returns to action later tonight as they take on the Jets of Newman University with first serve set for 7:00 p.m. at The Box in Canyon. Newman carries a 14 match win streak into a matchup with Texas A&M-Kingsville taking place at 3:30 p.m.
