People lined up to cast their ballots on Saturday for the last day of the 2019 Municipal Elections.
For Saturday afternoon, 2,200 people had voted in Potter County and more than 3,000 in Randall County.
Total numbers for early voting, which ended on Tuesday, were 5,300 in Randall County. For Potter County, it was 3,196.
Some voters, like Julie Hunt, say they are trying to lead by example.
“It is important for us to show the generations coming up that we do have a say so we do have power,” Hunt said. “Our governments are for the people and by the people, and it’s up to the people to make it happen.”
In the 2017 Municipal Election, totals for early voting in Randall and Potter counties were less than 9,300, which is more than this year’s total of almost 8,500.
