Yo-yo dieting may be bad for a woman’s heart.

Nearly 500 women told the researchers how many times they have lost at least 10 pounds only to gain it all back within a year.

This did not include pregnancies.

Those who had at least one instance of fluctuating weight loss had a harder time controlling various risk factors linked to heart disease.

They were also 82-percent less likely to have an optimal body mass index which is one of the risk factors.

The most harmful impact of yo-yo dieting was most noticeable in women who had never been pregnant.
