Wyndham Garden Hotel Temporarily Closed

AMARILLO - A longtime premiere hotel in Amarillo is shut down, at least temporarily.

An employee of the Wyndham Garden Hotel, formerly known as "The Ambassador," confirms the facility is temporarily closed but did not say when it would re-open.
The 263-room hotel on I-40 has gone through some changes over the last few years.

It was sold in 2013 to Magnuson Hotels, and it became the Wyndham Garden Hotel in 2014.

At that time, the management group running the hotel promised millions in renovations.

The fate of the employees is unknown at this time.

Management has not responded to our request for comment.
