The brunches are called Women’s Prayer Brunches and it’s sponsored by a group of friends known as the “Amarillo Rejoicers”.
Brunch will be on December 12th and the theme this year is “His love endures forever.”
The speaker for this year will be Betty Aragon from the West Texas A&M Catholic Student Center.
The opening prayer and reflection will be given by Msgr Harold Waldow.
They are supported by a local religious community (nuns), The Disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The events are from 9:45-11:30 a.m. at the Amarillo Club.
There is praise and worship music, brunch, a 20 minute talk, usually by a local woman, and personal prayer for anyone who is interested.
The cost to attend is $15.00 and it covers the cost of the meal.
More than 120-220 women come for the brunch.
Tickets are available at Top of Texas Catholic Superstore in Signature Shops of Westgate Mall.
The brunches are designed to give women a little prayer break with support, fun and delicious food.
Officials keep to the time schedule so even busy women can make time to attend.
