Woman Dies from July Accident at Coulter & Fulton

News

Amarillo Police say Esperance Munyura, 18, a passenger in last month’s car wreck, died while hospitalized after an accident.

We’re told Justice of the Peace Thomas Jones has ordered an autopsy.

Traffic Investigations continues their investigation into this collision.

On July 24th at 10:14 PM, APD officers were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash at South Coulter Street and Fulton Drive.

They say a 2008 Cadillac SUV had been westbound on Fulton at Coulter.

Officials say the driver of the vehicle failed to control his speed.

We’re told the Cadillac crashed into a tree then struck a brick wall on the west side of Coulter.

Police say the driver of the SUV was Darias Sebagabo, 20.

APD says after the wreck Munyura was taken to a local area hospital with life threatening injuries.

Amarillo Police say speed and alcohol were factors in the collision.

Sebagabo was booked into the Randall County Jail on a charge of Intoxicated Assault.

The incident is being investigated by the Traffic Investigation Squad of the Amarillo Police Department.
