This according to Edelman’s Annual Trust Barometer survey released Wednesday.
People in California have faith in the cannabis industry more than the tech industry.
The survey finding 44 percent of Californians have a high level of trust in marijuana dispensaries while only 33 percent answered the same for social media.
In the golden state, demand for government regulation of the technology industry is soaring.
The top concern among tech employees was the lack of privacy and security in the industry.
