Website ranks Amarillo College most affordable online associates degree programs

EDsmart’s recently ranked Amarillo College and Clovis Community College with most affordable online associates degree programs. The ranking includes only fully accredited schools. 

The website reports that Amarillo College came in at #1 overall. 

The rankings are based primarily on affordability, while also considering factors such as graduation and retention rates.

“The colleges on our list offer high-quality education at an amazing price” said EDsmart’s spokesperson. “A college is not successful if it does not graduate its students, which is why our ranking places high value on outcomes, including graduation and retention rates. In addition, these schools offer additional financial aid by way of scholarships, fellowships, and loans to most of their students.”

Amarillo College shines brightly in the 2019 edition of most affordable online colleges rankings. Ranking overall at #1 with the highest retention rate and second lowest net price on our list. Classes are offered as traditional, online, hybrid, or enhanced online courses. Amarillo College, based in Texas, offers 8 online associate’s degrees and 6 online certificates. Amarillo’s online associate degrees include Business Administration, Business Management, Criminal Justice, Education – Secondary, General Studies – Education, Mortuary Science, and Radiation Therapy. The most popular program at Amarillo College, according to The National Student Clearinghouse Research Center, is nursing and health sciences.   Niche.com gives Amarillo an Overall Niche Grade of “B” in 2019.

2. Clovis Community College

Retention Rate: 75%

Clovis Community College serves almost 12,000 students in the state of New Mexico. This institution is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. Eight different associate’s degree programs are offered online to allow students to have more flexibility. Those programs include Behavioral Science, Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, Criminal Justice, Early Childhood Education, General Studies, Legal Assistant Studies (Paralegal), and Liberal Arts.

Clovis Community College offers one of the cheapest online degrees in New Mexico.
