Vaping marijuana worse than smoking for new users

Science says there’s a difference between the health risks of vaping versus smoking marijuana.

Johns Hopkins Medicine researchers say vaping marijuana, can have worse consequences thank smoking marijuana for some types of users.

Researchers studied the effects of both smoking and vaping marijuana, particularly among infrequent users of it.

They found that vaping marijuana causes stronger effects, even when the doses are the same.

Vaping delivers more THC into the blood, yielding short-term anxiety, paranoia, memory loss, and distraction.

Anxiety, nausea, and vomiting can also occur and performance of tasks was significantly impaired.

The outcome could raise concerns on functions like using machines or driving a car.
