The United Way of Amarillo and Canyon provided their 2018 community status report and the numbers have gone up.
The report covers areas like income, education, and health.
One of the highlights of the report is that the median income has gone up in both Potter and Randall counties
“Even though Potter County continues to be a lower educated county, there are strides being made there for those students that go to Amarillo Independent School District to where they are starting to move that needle so to speak,” said Belinda Palacios, United Way of Amarillo and Canyon senior director of community impact.
Also according to the report, both Potter and Randall counties have some of the lowest unemployment rates in the state.
