United Airlines Adds Premium Seats

United targets first class passengers with some enticing perks.

The airline says it’s adding more than 1,600 premium seats to about 250 planes.

The carrier is also planning to make new regional jets with a self-serve beverage and snack area to attract business travelers.

It’s part of an industry trend to give more space and better service to high-paying passengers.

United is the nation’s third-biggest airline by revenue, trailing American and Delta.
