U.S. Marine Running Coast to Coast Makes Stop in Yellow City

A marine is running coast to coast in 100 days and she stopped by the Yellow City.

Captain Maggie Seymour of the United States Marine Corp. is traveling across the country on her own two feet.

She stopped by the Texas Panhandle War Memorial this evening for a meet and greet.

Capt. Seymour says she worked closely with veterans, Gold Star Families, and special needs athletes over the past ten years and that this run is for them.

“I want to meet as many people as possible by stopping in these small towns across the United States,” said Cpt. Seymour. “I’m from a small town in the Midwest and I get home as much as possible, but I’m not home all the time, and I just kind of miss that feel and that part of America.”

Capt. Seymour says she embarked on her journey on July 22, which means she has to make the end date on October 30 to accomplish her goal.
