Do you like running? Do you like donuts and beer? September 8 is the day for you.
The Mayor’s Half Marathon and 5K benefiting The Bridge Children’s Advocacy Center is on Saturday, September 8th at 7:30 a.m. Runners receive two beers each. There will be a photo booth, a DJ, a firetruck, Uncle Sam on stilts, and corn hole. To register, click here.
Slack-A-Thon .5K, benefiting Martha’s Home, on Saturday, September 8th at the Shops at Wolflin Square (at I-40 & Georgia) from 5 to 7:30 p.m. If you’ve ever wanted to do a 5k, without actually running, or think a half marathon should include some type of sugary incentive, then this ‘race’ is for you! All you low aiming achievers will love a .5K (emphasis on the POINT) that includes cold beverage stations, carb-loading checkpoints with donuts, coffee, and other treats. And of course, you’ll be awarded the ‘proof’ you participated in the form of selfies and swag. Plus much more fun to be had in the party zone. To register and find more information, click here.
