The Tulsa, Oklahoma police officer who fatally shot an unarmed motorist was arraigned in court today.
Betty Shelby arrived at court this surrounded by several people wearing a white shirt with her hair in a pony tail.
During the short proceeding, Shelby entered a not guilty plea.
She was charged with first degree manslaughter after the September 16th shooting death of Terence Crutcher.
Crutcher’s family members arrived at court and took their seats in the second and third rows of the courtroom
This was not only Shelby’s first court appearance on this charge, it was the first time the Crutcher family has seen Shelby in person.
The judge set the preliminary hearing for November 29th.
