At the end of every week TSA reports of weapons, explosives, and other prohibited items on the Official TSA Blog.
The latest post on the week of October 21st through October 27th, TSA officials at Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport found an loaded .380 firearm. A bullet was not chambered in a carry-on bag last Sunday.
The passenger can face a penalty as high as $11,000.
Across the country, 65 firearms were discovered last week in carry-on bags; 55 were loaded and 17 had a round chambered. Officials also found throwing stars, knives, throwing knives, a live action role play (fake) bomb vest, gun powder, inert grenades, and other prohibited objects.
All of the firearms pictured were discovered last week.

This is a friendly reminder to please leave these items at home. Just because we find a prohibited item on an individual does not mean they had bad intentions; that’s for the law enforcement officer to decide. In many cases, people simply forgot they had these items.
