The latest post or the week of October 7th through October 13th, TSA officials at Rick Husband Amarillo International Airport found an loaded .380 caliber firearm in a carry-on bag last Monday. A bullet was not chambered.
The passenger can face a penalty as high as $11,000.
Across the country, 75 firearms were discovered this week in carry-on bags; 66 were loaded and 25 had a round chambered. Officials also found a various knives, bear repellent and replica grenades.
All of the firearms pictured were discovered last week.

This is a friendly reminder to please leave these items at home. Just because we find a prohibited item on an individual does not mean they had bad intentions; that’s for the law enforcement officer to decide. In many cases, people simply forgot they had these items.
