(NBC News) Nicknamed "The Mother of All Bombs", the United States Military again flexed its muscles on Thursday by dropping the largest non-nuclear bomb ever used by the U.S. on ISIS militants in Afghanistan.
The White House offered few details about the strike, but did say that the target was a series of underground tunnels which allowed ISIS to move freely and easily target Afghan troops and U.S. advisers.
"I think it's another signal to ISIS to the Taliban, to Al-Qaeda in Afghanistan. You can burrow under the rocks, but we'll come get you day or night," said NBC News Military analyst and retired General Barry McCaffrey.
Despite the president not ordering the strike himself, this show of force clearly outlines a more aggressive military approach by the Trump Administration.
