One with Life-Threatening Injuries Following Wreck on Pine & S. Ross Osage


According to APD, around 3:14 p.m., officers were dispatched to the intersection of Pine and S. Ross Osage on a serious motor vehicle collision.

Officers said a 66-year-old woman driving east on Pine disregarded a stop sign and pulled out in front of a juvenile driver who was driving north on Ross-Osage.

The 66-year-old was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Officials said the juvenile was uninjured. 

The incident is being investigated by the Traffic Investigation Squad of the Amarillo Police Department.


UPDATE 5:30 P.M.:

According to APD officers on scene, a 66-year-old woman has been taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.



Amarillo Police are responding to a major traffic accident in the area of I-40 and Ross.

The road is closed from I-40 and Ross to SE 27th and Ross until further notice.

You are asked to avoid the area.

Officials say if you need to get to any businesses along that road, you will have to find an alternate route.
