KEYES -- A jury has acquitted a Keyes Oklahoma High School teacher of having an inappropriate relationship with two children.
Jason Millemon was charged in Cimarron County with three counts of lewd acts to a child under 16 years old and one count of sexual battery.
According to court documents, Millemon was accused of inappropriately touched a 16-year-old and a 9-year-old between November 2011 and May 2012.
Defense attorney Robert Jaques says Millemon always maintained his innocence -- so much so, he turned down plea offers that would have kept him out of jail. Jaques says Millemon opted to go to trial because he said he was innocent.
Jaques says there was no physical evidence, that one of the accuser's stories changed, and that the accusers' stories seemed questionable because of timing.
Jaques says the jury deliberated for one hour before returning with the acquittal.
