A new video game may help those looking to lose some weight.
The “brain teaching” computer game named “diet dash” is being used to help train players to eat less sugar in the hopes of helping them lose weight and improve their health.
The game automatically customizes training to hone in on specific sweets and fatty foods participants eat and the adjusts the difficulty according to how well they were resisting the temptation of sweets.
Such cognitive or brain training has garnered positive results when helping people with other unhealthy habits, such as smoking.
Cutting back on sugar can also slash the risk of developing cancer and diabetes.
