The League of Women Voters Conduct Voter Registration on Saturday

The League of Women Voters will conduct voter registration from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22.

The voter registrations will be at the United Supermarket stores at 5807 SW 45th Ave., and at 3400 River Rd.

Citizens 18 years or older who are not registered or have recently moved from the address on their voter registration card need to become registered by Oct. 9 in order to be eligible to vote in the Nov. 6 general election.

Those who have changed their name should also contact their county election administrator or fill out a new application card.  Anyone currently registered should have a yellow voter registration card.

Those living in the Canyon Independent School District will also have a school bond issue to vote on.

“We urge everyone who is not a registered voter to take advantage of this opportunity to get registered and then become an informed, active voter,” said Janette Kelley, League president.  “This is your chance to have a say in how our government works!”

Early voting begins Monday, Oct. 22, and runs through Friday, Nov. 2.
