(NBC News) President Obama says the strategy against ISIS will not change in the wake of the attacks on Paris. The United States will not send ground troops into Syria.
“That would be a mistake,” Mr. Obama said in a press conference on the sidelines of the ongoing G-20 summit in Turkey Monday. “It’s best we don’t shoot first and aim later. It’s important to get the strategy right.”
Critics say airstrikes alone aren’t working.
“If all you do is drop bombs, they don’t take that response seriously,” argues South Carolina Senator and Republican presidential hopeful Lindsey Graham.
