The C.I.A. Is now on Instagram

You can now follow your favorite spy agency, the CIA, on social media.

Will they be following you too? Maybe so.

The Central Intelligence Agency launched an Instagram account Thursday.

The agency says it’s to increase transparency.

Its first selfie is a photo of things that look sort of spy-ish, such as a wig, headphones, and a top-secret pulp bag, probably for shredded information.

It’s not clear what the CIA will actually do with its new social media account.

Other government agencies also use Instagram, such as NASA, with 41 million followers, the Department of Defense, and the NOAA: The Ocean and Atmosphere Agency.
