A teen in Clovis is arrested for Aggravated Battery following a Sunday morning stabbing that sent one man to the hospital.
On Sunday, April 29, just before 11 a.m., officers of the Clovis Police Department responded to the 1600 block of Echols Avenue in reference to a stabbing victim.
When officers arrived, they said they found a 41-year-old man who said he was stabbed from behind, in the neck, by a family member, Corey Dixon, 18.
Police said the man told them he was talking to Dixon when he became angered. The man reported to officers that Dixon then placed him in a rear choke hold and then he was stabbed on the right side of his lower neck.
The man was transported to Plains Regional Medical Center where he was treated.
Detectives with the Special Operations Unit of the Clovis Police Department were dispatched to investigate the aggravated battery.
Dixon was located by law enforcement at around 11:37 a.m. and was taken to the Clovis Police Department for an interview.
He was arrested for two counts of Aggravated Battery and was transported to the Curry County Adult Detention Center.
