The Texas Computer Education Association hosted the Area 16 Robotics Competition on Saturday, Jan. 12.
There were 70 teams composed of 200 students, ranging from 4th to 12th grades. They were participating in four different robotics competitions.
The top teams in each event qualify for the TCEA State Robotics contest in April.
The event was held at Region 16 located at 5800 Bell Street from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m.
Robotics are used for teaching science, technology, engineering and math skills.
