Suspect in Sunday Morning Homicide in Custody

The suspect in Sunday morning’s homicide in north Amarillo is in custody.

According to the Amarillo Police Department, Jody Joe Lewis turned himself into police.

On Sunday, Feb. 25, police were called to Club Vibe on the 5600 block of Amarillo Blvd. East in reference to a shooting.

Officials said the victim, Dwight Terry, 19, was taken to the hospital where they died from their injuries.

Lewis was booked into the Potter County Detention Center on a murder warrant.
