Suspect Arrested for Stolen Vehicles; Hartley County Deputy Injured

AMARILLO, Texas - Several law enforcement organizations arrested a suspected car thief after a Wednesday morning chase that went through Hartley and Dallam County.

The Hartley County Sheriff's Department reports several vehicles were stolen on Wednesday. One of those vehicles was spotted on US-54 and the suspect lead police on a chase.

Officials say the chase ended after law enforcement personnel rammed the vehicle and shot out the left side tires of the suspect's vehicle.

Hartley County Sheriff's Department says the suspect is connected to seven stolen cars and at least one firearm. 

A Hartley County deputy suffered minor injuries when his vehicle wrecked into a pipe fence during the pursuit.
