Sunscreen may help keep you cool

Sunscreen may do more than just protect you from sunburn it also might help keep you cool.

A study from Penn State University found when unprotected skin is exposed to the sun’s ultraviolet, or UV rays, it causes less blood flow to the skin.

This can throw a person’s body temperature off.

However, researchers found applying SPF50 or higher sunscreen can stop the process, and regulate body temperature.

The findings were presented at a meeting of the American Physiological Society, in Orlando.
