Suicide And Overdose Deaths At A Record High

News

A scary study is raising red flags.

Researchers say the US is seeing a record number of deaths from suicide and drug and alcohol overdoses.

In 2017, the national rate saw a six percent increase– which is an all-time high.

More than 150,000 people died of suicide or overdose in 2017, that’s more than twice the number from 1999.

Psychologists say it’s crucial we work on the underlying problems leading to these statistics.

The study was conducted by Trust for America’s health and Well Being Trust.
