The celebrations of the Chinese lunar new year begin to “light up” as they wind down.
One Chinese opera says, “golden pig sends luck to you”… It’s one performance among several folk culture operas airing in China Tuesday to mark “the year of the pig” in the lantern festival gala.
The “Golden Pig” opera gathers clown characters of 10 folk operas, in order to appeal to audiences across China.
