Roughstock Event Brings Excitement to New Year’s Eve

Studio 4
New Year’s Eve 2015 brings the return of an exciting event to Amarillo, one that packs lots of excitement for the start of your celebration.

Don’t miss the 2nd annual Championship Roughstock Challenge at the Amarillo National Center at 7:30 p.m. This rodeo features all the roughstock events, bull riding, bareback riding and saddle bronc riding, in one evening, combining what some rodeo fans think are the most exciting rodeo events.

The competition will feature PBR, CBR and PRCA riders. Each ride is an eight second battle between the rider and some of the best roughstock animals in the business. Half the score is from the cowboy’s ability to ride and the other half from the animal’s bucking performance. Rider and animal are paired by the luck of the draw.

The highlight of this year’s event will be the Match of Champions, showcasing the youth ages 9-12. These young champions will match abilities with miniature stock.

All tickets are $20 and children 12 and under are free. Tickets are available at PanhandleTickets.com, the Amarillo Civic Center Complex box office and United Supermarkets, or by calling 806-378-3096. Keep up with the latest news on Facebook at Championship Roughstock Challenge.
