Remember a Little Summer Playtime

Studio 4
Cassie Larson and Jill Goodrich, representing the Panhandle Association for the Education of Young Children, explain why parents should not forget to play this summer

As adults, it’s common to forget how to play. Perhaps you’re too busy with dishes, laundry, electronics, etc.  Those things can all distract from healthy and fun play with   children.

Playing with your kids is important because you,
– Connect with them; enjoy each other
– Show them they are important; they will feel more secure
– Give them the courage to try new things
– Demonstrate how they should treat friends during play
