Getting your Family into a Healthy Routine

Kids brains are pattern seeking. When they have predictable schedules, they know what to expect and when.

Infants begin to experience these routines very early: cry, eat, diaper change, play sleep, and repeat every two to three hours.

For children who are a little older, especially for those going to preschool, mothers’ day out, those routines help them transition from home to school. Children in good routines have easier transitions. Feel a greater sense of security. Learn to develop self regulation.

A predictable routine with predictable and adequate amount of sleep will make the whole family happier!
