After a three year effort, a collaboration between Snack Pak 4 Kids and the beef industry is about to launch.
It is called the BOGO Beef Stik and it aims to provide a healthy snack and source of protein that kids will eat.
Currently, the program provides 2.5 pounds of beef to each student over the school year.
The goal is to double that with money generated by the new BOGO Beef Stik program.
“This project right here will guarantee more quality protein for our kids that we serve,” said Dyron Howell, Executive Director for Snack Pac 4 Kids. “It also allows us to bring our agriculture community together in a big way to make a difference for kids.”
Surveys showed that the most popular item in the Snack Pak was the beef stick.
Every beef stick purchased, provides an additional one for a child in need.
