As many of you know law enforcement never take a day off, even on Christmas.
That’s why Potter County Sheriff Brian Thomas opens his door every year for law enforcement to swing by and grab a quick home-cooked meal before heading back out to protect the community.
Sheriff Thomas says around lunch time they saw about 35 LEOs at one time.
“We do it because we know there isn’t anything for them to eat,” says Sheriff Thomas. “Everything is closed. They are away from their families, and we want to provide a place where they can come and eat.”
This is the 24th year the sheriff has hosted this gathering.
