Seventh Annual Ink Life Tour Wraps up at the Civic Center

A popular event leaves its mark on Amarillo and permanent marks on its guests.

The Ink Life Tour wrapped up today, but not before hundreds of people got new tattoos.

Ragen St. Peter, the event promoter says, “We are so appreciative of Amarillo. The Convention and Visitor’s Bureau, the hotel, the Amarillo Civic Center and everybody is just so welcoming to us every year.”
Artists from near and far make the trip bringing their best to the high plains.
Synyster Mr. Syxx, the event’s emcee and a New York Tattoo artist says, “The nice thing about it is when you come to a place like this you know you can get a guy from Europe, you can get a guy from New York, like myself, you can get a guy from California. You might not want to travel all the way to California to see these folks, or all the way to New York to see me, we’re happy to come to Amarillo.”
Syxx says many who attend every year like to do continuation pieces.
“You’ll start one this year like, ‘Okay, we did half of your sleeve this year, we’ll do the other half of your sleeve next year, and just keep going till the whole body suit is completed,'” says Syxx.

Syxx says this event has grown each year in Amarillo and the tour has never seen less than 4000 people during a weekend at any tour stop.
