One of Major League Baseball’s most iconic and polarizing players, Roger Clemens, stopped by in Amarillo yesterday.
He was at Amarillo high school’s baseball park teaching some local high school talent a thing or two about pitching.
Quite a few players showed up for the free session as Clemens was able to teach the players some of the finer points of the game of baseball, and signed some autographs.
Clemens says, “Most of the coaches here that are college coaches know if you look pretty hard you’re going to find some good arms, good players in the state of Texas. They love their baseball, love their football of course, and really all of their sports.”
This was Clemens’ first time visiting the city of Amarillo.
