Goat Cheese and Preserves Appetizer

INGREDIENTS:

4 oz Goat Cheese; (like Chevre)

1 oz Pecans; crushed

4-5 ea Strawberry; stemmed/sliced

1 ea Jalapeno; stemmed/seeded/chopped

¼ cup Granulated Sugar

1 oz Lemon Juice

+SOME YOUR FAVORITE CRACKERS

PROCEDURE:

1. Crush the pecans.

2. Mix thoroughly with the creamy goat cheese.

3. In a sauce pan, cook strawberry and jalapeno together.

4. Add sugar and lemon juice.

5. Cook down until syrup consistency. Add water if necessary.

6. Serve preserves over goat cheese mixture with crackers on the side.
