Two Muleshoe children were killed in a car accident on Interstate 20 outside of Eastland on Saturday around 7:40 p.m.
According to the Department of Public Safety, Victoria Lopez, 9, and Rey David Lopez, 10, were the two children that died in the one-vehicle crash. DPS said neither were wearing a seat belt.
A 57-year-old and 13-year-old of Muleshoe are in stable condition following the accident, according to DPS.
DPS said a woman from Las Vegas was driving when the car veered into the center median striking the safety cable and the two children were ejected from the back of the car. Both the 57-year-old and 13-year-old were wearing seat belts in the front of the car.
DPS said the crash is under investigation.
