Area students tested their spelling skills at the Randall County Junior Spelling Bee this afternoon.
Students first participated in classroom spelling bee's then moved on to school level.
The top three to four students from each school moved on to today's junior spelling bee at Crestview Elementary.
"So our students have worked very hard practicing for the spelling bees. Some of them have competed at up to two rounds at their current campuses. We are very proud of all the students and the hard work they have put in as well as all the parents and guardians who have supported them through the process," said Kandi Kempf, Spelling Bee Coordinator.
The top two from today's spelling bee go on to the Senior County Spelling Bee.
That takes place next Tuesday at Canyon Jr. High.
