Randall County Junior Livestock Show This Weekend

CANYON - Today was the last day of the annual Randall County Junior Livestock Show

It took place at the Randall County Happy State Bank Event Center. 

Over 200 students participated in the show, accounting for more than 500 animal entries. Admission was free to the public, and everyone was invited to attend.

The action kicked off on Tuesday the 16th at 5:00 pm with a cattle show. Wednesday the was a poultry and rabbit show. Thursday was the goats and sheep show. The was a livestock judging contest on Friday, and then Saturday with swine. There was also an awards ceremony and a raffle drawing for a John Deere Gator and trailer.

The weekend’s activities will finalize with a premium sale on Monday, January 22 at the WTAMU Legacy Hall in Canyon. 

Potential buyers are invited to enjoy a complimentary reception and steak dinner beginning at 5:00 pm.
