Alright, alright, alright!
An East Texas native and Academy Award winner will make his way to the classroom this fall.
According to the University of Texas, Longview High School alum Matthew McConaughey will teach a class called “script to screen” which students will learn the ins and outs of filmmaking at UT’s Moody College of Communication.
McConaughey will be joined by director Gary Ross, of Hunger Games fame.
Thirty students joined McConaughey and Ross behind the scenes of McConaughey’s new hit movie, “Free State Of Jones” which is now playing in theaters nationwide.
The class will also give students practical instruction on producing their own projects including web series, shorts, commercials and indie features.
The Oscar-winning UT alum often visits the university, giving pep talks to the football team and attending games.
