Potter County Sheriff's Office Hosts CRASE Class

AMARILLO - Today, many people in our area learned how to be prepared and equipped for an emergency situation at the latest CRASE class.

The Potter County Sheriff's Office (PCSO) and First Christian Church Amarillo hosted their quarterly Sheepdog Civilian Response to Active Shooter Events (CRASE) class.

The class emphasized church security and safety teams, and how a safety team should be organized and conduct themselves during an emergency.

"We know how to react to a situation, then we're better off," said PCSO Sgt. Robert Huddleston. "This is to help develop that to where people can react, and react promptly and correctly."

The class was open to the public and free of charge.
