DPS seized 90 pounds of marijuana Saturday, after a Texas Highway Patrol Trooper stopped a vehicle in Carson County.
At 4:39 p.m., a DPS Trooper stopped a 1999 Dodge Durango traveling east on I-40 near Conway, for a traffic violation.
The Trooper discovered multiple vacuum-sealed packages of marijuana in the rear cargo area. The illegal drugs are worth approximately $546,000.
Virginia Pulido-Griego and Juan Lombera-Bustamante, both of Clearlake, California, were arrested and charged with felony possession of marijuana. Pulido-Griego, 46, and Lombera-Bustamante, 35, were transported and booked into the Carson County jail.
The drugs allegedly were being transported from California to Kansas.
