A woman is dead after a car wreck in North Amarillo.

It happened this morning close to noon when officers were dispatched to NE 24th and North Grand on a vehicle collision.

Amarillo Police said a 17 year old boy was driving a 2012 Chevrolet truck westbound on NE 24th while turning southbound on N. Grand.

They said another 17-year-old boy was driving a 2005 Toyota Camry eastbound on NE 24th.

Police said the front of the Chevy hit the front of the Toyota.

APD said both vehicles then struck a 2017 Nissan Versa driven by a 54-year-old man who was sitting at a red light for northbound traffic.

Officials said a passenger in the Toyota, Mo Lai Chun, 62, was taken to a local area hospital where she later died of injuries sustained in the crash.

All three drivers of the vehicles involved were uninjured.

Justice of the Peace Gary Jackson has ordered an autopsy.

The incident is being investigated by the Traffic Investigation Squad of the Amarillo Police Department.
