One man, Tristan Stewart, 34, is dead after he lost control of his 2005 Harley Davidson on Sunday, May 5.

At around 5:50 p.m., the Amarillo Police Department officers were dispatched to southwest 9th Avenue and Bushland Avenue.

Stewart had been westbound on 9th Avenue when he lost control of his motorcycle, crossed into eastbound traffic lanes and struck a 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan head-on.

Stewart was pronounced dead on scene.

The 64-year-old male driver of the Caravan was taken to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Stewart was not wearing a helmet and speed is a possible factor in this wreck.

This incident is being investigated by the Traffic Investigation Squad of the Amarillo Police Department.
